Children’s literature in the Islamic Period has been categorized into three areas.

Abou-Ali-sina (980-1036), Avicenna, one of the greatest physicians of the middle Ages and an outstanding philosopher. He developed important theories on child psychology.

Saadi (1203-1291), one of Iran’s greatest poets. He wrote many poems for children.
